As a child, I loved stitching handmade clothes for my Barbie dolls. Once I mastered sewing on a machine, I designed outfits so my friends and I could stand out at school and neighborhood parties. The desire to create took me to Fisk University where I earned a degree in Fine Arts. I soon learned that I could not make a good living in the Arts, so I made a shift to the Accounting field.

I still had a desire to create beautiful, colorful fiber art.

Now, retirement has come. I made a vow to myself that I would create again. So here I am! Welcome to Quiltism. It's never too early, or too late, to create your dreams. Please come back from time to time to see new colorful, thought provoking fiber art.
